Two years after my first trip to the redwoods, here I am, back again. The cool breeze caressing my skin, a rush of nostalgia taking me over. The wisdom emanating from those trees is powerful. They take me back to the roots of why I am here. Here in the forest, here in the US and, here on earth.

Zero Waste Toilets, Is It Achievable? Here are your options
Can we actually have zero waste toilets in our home? What would it mean?
From deciding to refuse plastic wrapped toilet paper to cutting off paper completely to parting ways with water run toilet there are many ways to approach the issue. I will be honest, searching through data and reading about water pollution makes me want to only talk about dry toilet, but I also don’t see the point of discouraging everyone from doing better, especially when even I have not passed that level yet. So, if you’re curious to know more about the shape of worldwide water supplies, I invite you to Ecosia it. DIY: How To Make Almond Milk!
Quickly after I started to aim toward a zero-waste lifestyle, I realized that to reduce waste I had to make the products I wanted to consume myself. And since I can’t start the day without an almond milk latte, I research, tested different ways and bam! Revelation. Not only I can make almond milk at home, it doesn’t take a lot of time and it taste better than the one I usually buy. Full disclosure, if I have a very busy week ahead of me I still buy my milk but I came to reduce by 50/60% the amount of milk I buy and that is what I would call a success in motion.

Zero Waste Cleaning: How to make Dish-soap
When cutting down on waste and embracing a greener life, Zero Waste cleaning plays a big part. But why have we switched away, as a society, from natural and eco-friendly options? Why the general idea is that natural solutions don’t work… You guessed right, marketing!
The industry of cleaning product hit $600 million in 2014, and has been growing since then. Every year, we see new ads offering al keep providing customers with more and more specific type of cleaning products, increasing the needs, the purchases and… the un-necessary bull**** if you’ll excuse my French.

Zero Waste Cleaning: How To Make Dish Washer Powder
When cutting down on waste and embracing a greener life, Zero Waste cleaning plays a big part. But why have we switched away, as a society, from natural and eco-friendly options?
Follow the money…
As explained in my post on how to make dish soap, I explain that the cleaning product industry makes an insane amount of money and they are not ready to stop. To maintain and grow their revenue, they come with new marketing strategies that makes us doubt the efficiency of more simple products and encourages us to always by more and more expensive.

Decluttering – How to set your home for a Zero-Waste lifestyle
When it comes to Zero-Waste, our home and the way we shape it, influences tremendously our lifestyle.
