Often disregarded, the online world produces a lot of waste and impact our environment in many ways. The good news is that there are websites, softwares and apps that work to balance the impact of digital waste by plating trees, to reminding you to take your reusable grocery shopping bags. Reducing our footprint online is becoming easier every day!
Here’s a list of my favorite greener apps and softwares to reduce our waste online

For the ones who don’t know yet, my man and I are probably going to set home away from the city and build our passive home and try to use as much sustainable alternative to traditional wasteful systems as we can. One of the most exciting technology we came across is what I call the “never ending shower.”
Valentine’s Day is coming up! I am not a huge fan of the commercial aspect of this day, but I love having a day dedicated to love. Therefore I dig through books and online content, and made this list of the most awesome and powerful plants and oils used to create the perfect sensual atmosphere on Feb. 14th. You’ll find massage oils, oil diffuser blends and a bath bomb recipe to make the day even more perfect!
Reusable makeup removal pads may seem like an irrelevant element to change, but most of us use cotton pads, everyday to clean our face and remove residue. With the increasing number of people on the planet it seems like shifting from disposable pads to reusable ones should be the way to go. Besides, did you know that your cotton pad (unless organic) might contain a tremendous amount of chemicals and potentially are supporting child labor? I am not even kidding.
The last several months I’ve been playing with the idea of vows. If you’re familiar with Caroline Myss’ work on sacred contracts, it’s similar, but doesn’t specifically focus on archetypes. My terminology of vows is geared toward your soul purpose, contract, or vow for this lifetime; a way of viewing your mission, so that you can gain a clear focus, something to hang on to and ground you, not only in accomplishing your goals, but also as an anchor when times get tough.
Happy new year everyone! The new year always comes with new resolutions. Some are lame, some are far from realistic, but others can be a game changer. This season is not only good to stuff ourselves with great food, it’s also a great time to think about the past year, our accomplishments, our failures, and what we want to make of the upcoming 365 days. This is why I wrote this article and created a calendar with major mile stones to reach while we are all on the path to zero-waste.
Setting Our Zero-Waste New Year Goals
I love bath bombs, and all the oils and scents that make bath time a precious and ultimate relaxing moment. Therefore, I absolutely wanted to learn how to make them. The process to make them is a lot close to the way we make toilet fizz cleaner, but obviously it’s a lot more creative to make soaking body care ones.
- White Vinegar is definitely something that changed my life. I knew it’s a great product. I did not know how much it was. For any cleaning purposes, there’s a good chance vinegar will be the ingredient you need. I now use it to clean my windows, mirrors, grease, as a multi-purpose cleaner, stain remover, laundry softener… The possibilities are limitless.
