ToothPaste Recipe – Make Your Own!

Making Your Own beauty products like toothpaste, is more rewarding and empowering that I would have ever through. It always impress me how fast and easy making things by ourselves can be! It took me a while to get into the DIY spirit, as I would think I didn’t have the time. Truth is, I spend less, use less and what we use in the house is non toxic! You have 5 minutes? Give it a try: You’ll find many different ways online to make your paste. They often use key ingredients such as baking soda or charcoal but that doesn’t mean there’s only one way to go!

Here’s is the recipe that I prefer:

Alternative Toothpaste Recipe

Here’s is an alternative toothpaste recipe I came across on Artistta blog. Love it, full of great details about glycerin too and why she went for this one. It’s a must try:

Mouth Wash

Something I also do now, is that I added a mouth wash to my routine using a baking soda based solution. It’s very easy to make and the results are there. To make it, you need to put 2 tsp baking soda in a small bottle of warm water. Wait until the water is cool, add a few drops of peppermint essential oil and use it to wash your mouth twice per week to whiten your teeth!

For the mouthwash, I have another amazing recipe. Boil some water and put it in a glass container. Then add some sea or pink Himalayan salt. Some baking soda, some tea tree oil and some peppermint oil.. if you really wanna get fancy LOL put in some propolis or goldenseal or whatever. Play around with the amounts. Everyone’s preferences are different, & also amounts you make. Much love, Rebecca M.

Your recipe sounds really appealing. I’ll have to give it a try next time I make some! I put the salt in the toothpaste but in the mouthwash that might be event better. Thanks for your message!
